The Marlborough Racing Club's Summer Meeting was held in beautiful weather before a fair attendance. i.he .totalisator handled £5,938, as against £7,415 for the first day last year. IJjough’s Dunroco (L. E. Berkett) 3. Others: 2 Nelson Gara, 4 Castle Chimes. Won by half a length, with fifteen lengths between second and third. Nelson Gara was fourth. Time, 3min 30 l-ssec. Novice Hack Handicap, SOsovs. 6f. —1 Alessrs Hodgson and Thomson’s Hunting Call (Fergus) 1, 4 Miss Cunneen’s Winlock (Metcalfe) 2,2 Mr W. A. Fuller’s Dancing Star (Ellis) 3. Others: 10 Attar, 11 Emform, 4 Frilford, 6 Painting, 9 Glen Ace, 7 Spearset, 8 Waihomai, 3 Joiedeval, 5 Taurn Lad. Won by two lengths, with four lengths between second and third. Joiedeval was fourth.

Marlborough Cup, 250sovs. Im.—l Mr H. Murphy’s Dolomite (B. Morris) I, 2 Mr J. J. Cony’s Iraateazirl (L. J. Woolford) 2, 3 Mrs Sleightnolme’s Kiriana (Metcalfe) 3. 4 Royal Game also started. Won by a length, with four lengths between second and third. Time, 2min 7 4-ssec. Brookby Hack Handicap, HOsovs. 6f.—2 Mr I. Peterson’s Evening Hero (C, Robinson) and 3 Mr R. Dee’s Dainty Ways (C. Goldsboro), dead heat, 1; 1 Air J. J. Cony’s Projection (G. Ridgeway) 3. Others: 5 llermod, 4 Volplane, 6 Fallow. Won by two lengths. Dermod was fourth. Time, linin 28 3-osec.
