SUNDAY SERVICES

In Knox Church, Rev. 8. F. Hunter, D.D., will conduct both services. The subject for the morning service is ’ Living by Bread Alone,’ and at the evening service, which will bo broadcast, tho subject will bo ‘Trust or Presumption.’ Miss Helen Roy will sing the solo ‘He Is the Way, and the anthem ‘ Peace ’ will be sung by the choir. Mrs J. W. Stables, of Wellington, will bo the speaker at the Spiritualist Church in tho evening. Tho subject of her address is ‘The Message of Spiritualism.' At tho Sanitarium Tea Rooms, in the evening, Pastor Sibley will talk on ‘Do We Need a New Bible? Is the Old Book Out of Date and Out of Harmony With Modern Science?’ At York Place Hall to-morrow morning fellowship at tho Lord’s Table is open to all Christians. At tho even service Mr Prank Varley will preach. His subject will be ‘ Concerning Everybody—What We All Have —What Wo All Need—What We All Must Pace.’ Meetings will be conducted in the Salvation Army Citadel, Dowling street, by Captain Albert Chandler, assisted by Lieutenant Morley. At 11 a.m. a holiness meeting will bo held, and at 3.15 p.m. an oldtime praiso and testimony meeting will be conducted. Tho popular Salvation mooting tit 7 p.rn. will he conducted by Captain Albert Chandler, and Lieutenant Morley will speak. The subject of his address will be ‘ Consider Him.’ Visiting Salvationists will take part, and the Citadel Band and songsters will provide the music. At tho Higher Thought Centre, Y.W.C.A. Hall, Cilia Enid Bates conducts two healing meetings, taking as her subject ‘ Tho Healing of the Christ.’ First, 7-8 p.m., ‘ Bodies ’; second, 8.15-9 p.m. (after church), ‘Lives.’ Solo. Miss Mary Campbell, ‘ Come Unto Him.’ Peace and life silences and healing concentrations for those sick or in trouble at both meetings. ‘ Tho Godless Drift of These Times— Drifting to Eternity—God’s Preventive Against Disaster,’ and kindred subjects will bo dealt with at tho Gospel Tent, Ravonshourne, at 8 o’clock.

; Central Mission services will bo conducted by the Rev. G. B. Hinton. At the evening service Mr Phil. Palmer will play the 'cello solo ‘Largo’ (Handel), and the choir will render the anthem ‘ The God of Abraham Praise’ (Buck). Sacrament of the J rd’s Supper will be observed at the close of the evening service. The Rev. J. A. Locbore will conduct the morning service in the Cargill Road Methodist Church, and the monthly communion will be celebrated at the close. Mr S. G. Macfarlano. M.A., will conduct the evening service.

The services at the South Dunedin Baptist Church will be conducted by Rev. Stanley Jenkin. In the morning the subject will bo ‘ Tho Right Kind of Clairvoyance.’ and in the evening tho series on ‘ Tho Things of the Firmaments and the Things of the Spirit ’ will bo contihued, the subject being ‘ In Praise of tho Moon.’ At the Hanover Street Baptist Church the Rev. K. S. Tuckwell will conduct both services. Communion will follow the morning service. In the evening tho subject will be * A Domestic Disaster.’ The largo choir, under Mr 11. P. Desmoulins, will render two anthems —‘ Holy. Holy, Holy ’ and Blake’s ‘Jerusalem.’ The Rev. Albert Mead will conduct the services at the Congregational Church, Moray place. The subject of his morning address will be ‘ Be Thou Faithful,’ and in the evening he will speak on ‘ Broken Ships,’ Mrs N. 0. Shrimpton will sing the negro spiritual ‘Were You There? and Mr Alfred Walmsley will take the tenor solo in the anthem ‘ Seek Ye the Lord.'
