Mr Everard Baring, chairman of the Southern Railway, announced at the annual meeting that the company had acquired a shareholding interest in Imperial Airways and had made arrangement*! with the latter for cooperation in running air services. If the Southern Railway used its powers to run an air service this would be operated by Imperial Airways, while the Southern Railway would be helpful to Imperial Airways in the way,of through bookings and advertising.
