MODERN EVE
INVADING MAN'S DOMAIN
I RECORDS AND ENDURANCE TESTS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 4. (Received January 5, at 9 a.m.) Modern eve hopes to add to her adventuring laurels in the new year bs means of new world’; ecjr.ls and endurance tests on land, sea, and air. Two motorists, Mrs Victor Bruce and Lady Brocklehurst ,are starting out on hazardous journeys. Mrs Bruce is starting from Sunvald, one of the most northerly points in Lapland and intends to drive in ninety-four hours to Monte Carlo. At the bonnet of her purple and silver car will be the Star of Eve, badge of the women’s Automobile Association.
Lady Brocklehurst, accompanied _ by her husband, will set out from Algiers in a motor lorry to travel 6000 miles across the desert to Khartoum.
Lastly three women motorists, an airwoman, and a speed boat owner are training to compete in a motor, aeroplane, and speed boat test.
It seems as though a strenuous endeavour is being made to prove that women are capable of invading every domain of man.
