(Received January 3, at 1.30 a.m.) The death is announced of the Rev Mark Guy Pearse, a prominent Methodist minister. [The Rev. Mark Guy Pearse was born in Cornwall eighty-seven years ago He was educated in England and in Hoiland, and for a time was a medical student at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, london. In 1863 he entered the Methodist ministry, and held various import ant charges in England. He was a prolific writer on religious subjects, ami *was also the author of a number of books bearing ou West Country folk lore and songs.] ,
