NORTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS The North Island championships were continued at Wanganui yesterday in perfect weather. Results:— Ladies’ Championship Singles.—Miss White (Wellington) lieat Miss Cameron (Masterton), 6-4, 6-4; Miss Myers (Wanganui) beat Miss Card (Featherston), 6-1, 6-1; Mrs Smith (Wanganui) beat Mrs Richardson (Wanganui), 6-3, 6-2; Miss p. Nicbolls ("Wellington) beat Miss Franklin (Auckland), 6-0, 6-1; Miss Purcell (Wanganui) beat Miss D. Scott (Christchurch'. 6-3, 6-3. Men’s Championship Doubles.—Cox and Udy (W’anganui) beat Rhodes-Wil-liams and Dyraond (Christchurch), 6-i, 6-1.
Ladies’ Championship Doubles.—Mrs Richardson and Miss L. Pease (Hawera) heat Misses BaLantyne and Scott .(New Plymouth), 6-2, 6-2; Mrs Marshall and Miss Card (Wanganui) beat Misses Tulloch and Barry, 6-0, 6-0.
