WOMEN DIFFICULT TO LIVE WITH

AMERICAN PSYCHOLOGIST'S CONCLUSION Women are a greater source of annoyance to men than men are to women. , This, at least, is the conclusion of Professor Hulsey Cason, the American psychologist, who has made a study of more than 600 subjects of both sexes, with the object of discovering which is the more difficult to live with. ' , A ‘ Daily Express 1 representative asked Mrs H. W. Nevinson, wife of the author, to say what, in her opinion, would be the view of the majority of women of Professor Cason’s conclusion. “ Men are always complaining that they cannot live with women, said Mrs Nevinson. “On the other hand, it has to be remembered that they cannot live without them. Therefore, men and women have to live together and endure each other. “PALM TO THE MEN.” “Men complain that women nag, and this may be true; but men can say harder things in a few words than women say in all their nagging. Men often say things to women that are so bitter that women can never _ forget, them as long as they live. I think the palm must go to, the men for giving this form of annoyance, which is often much worse than annoyance. “ Many poor women would tell Professor Cason that in their class men haye extraordinary power to annoy. The woman nags, but the man says little. He knocks her down. Which is the greater annoyance? “When all the forms of annoyance are considered, however,; 1 suppose men and women are about fifty-fifty. If men and women would agree on this and get along with the job of lessening annoyance on both sides, the world would be better off.”
