SOCIAL AT MOSGIEL
The Mosgiel Woollen Mills Choir held a social evening in honour of Mr G. J. Scott, conductor, and Miss George, pianist. The chairman of the committee, Mr Jas. flicks, in welcoming the visitors, said it was the result of the efforts of Miss George and Mr Scott, that the choir had attained so satisfactory a position among the firms’ choirs at the Competitions. He thanked them for the assistance they had given the choir. Mr Scott was the recipient of a buttomhole and Miss George and Mrs Scott were presented with boxes of chocolates. On behalf of the warehouse staff, Mr W. Nicolson presented Mr Scott with a case of pipes, and Miss George received a handbag as of the company’s appreciation of the recipients’ services.
