FAREWELLED AT GREEN ISLAND Although it was not deemed wk® that any passenger flights should be made yesterday, Captain White, of the Hawke’s Bay Aero Club, accompanied by Mr R. C. M'Master. left for Christcixurclx during the afternoon. They were farewelled by Mr W. 0. Smellie, Mayor of Green Island, who wished them good luck and a pleasant trip. He was sure that the visit had done much to make people interested in aviation. Just before leaving Captain White said that he and Mr M'Master were very grateful for the hospitality that had been extended to them by the citizens of Dunedin generally, by the mayor (Mr R, S. Black), Mr Smellie, Mr H. M, Mackay (secretary of the Otago Aero Club), their host and hostess (Mr and Mrs G. Paape), and many others. Captain White added that Otago had the makings of a very fine club, and he wished it every success.
