MAXIMUM ADVANCE DOUBLED. An amendment of the Rural intermediate Credits Act was introduced in the House of Representatives by Governor’s Message to-day. Its main provision, according to Mr Forbes (Minister of Agriculture), is an extension from £I,OOO to £2,000 as the maximum advance which the board may make to farmers.
