LICENSING SYSTEM TO BE ABOLISHED Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. SYNDEY, October 30. During the progress of the last waterside workers’ strike, the Bruce Government instituted a system of licensing maritime workers which enabled the shipping companies to weed out those they considered undesirables. The Scullin Government has now sanctioned the abolition of the licensing system, under which a large number of volunteer workers maintained their jobs on the waterfront.
