MR F. B. S. FALKINER AUSTRALIAN PASTORALIST. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, October -‘3O. The death is announced of Mr F. B. S. Falkiner, who is described as one of the wealthiest pastoralists in Australia ; aged sixty-two. His death occurred after a brief illness at Foxgiow Station, Queanbeyan. He leaves a widow and two daughters, one of whom is Mrs Lowry, of Hawke’s Bay. Deceased was the owner of the famous Haddon Ring Station in Riverina, and his sale of stud rams each year averaged £50,000. Ho also owned several racehorses. SIR JOSEPH ROBINSON DIAMOND PIONEER. CAPE TOWN, October L'O. The death is announced of Sir Joseph Robinson, a pioneer of the diamond and gold industries. He sent the first parcel of diamonds to London. [Sir Joseph Robinson was born in 1840. He was chairman of the Robinson South African Banking Company. He was engaged in wool buying and farming till 1867 : when he acquired about 20,000 acres at Vaal River, on which he found diamonds. He took an active part in public matters in Kimberley, and was mayor in 1860.]
