GERMAN MINE
RECOVERED OFF AUSTRALIAN COAST Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, October 28. (Received October 28, at 10.35 a.m.) A German mine, apparently one of chose laid in tile track of shipping off Gabo Island by the raider' \Volr in 1917, was recovered by the trawler near Capa Everard. The trawl had been dragging on the ocean bottom in sixty-five fathoms, and those of the crew with minesw. eping experience wore startled when the mine tumbled out on the deck. It was about 4ft high, with a diameter of 2ft, and weighed scwt. It, is thought that the mine is now harmless, but naval ram null examine it to-day.
