FLEETS HIS BRIDE T WOOED BY LETTER. WINNIPEG, October 6. Australian girls are not the only ones who engage to marry without seeing their husbands. Miss Ethel Whitehead, of Church lane, Kingsbuxy, London, arrived on Tuesday night and yesterday was married to Louis Gillett, a farmer, living in Orkney, Saskatchewan. The secret of their quick marriage lies in the fact that they corresponded for some time, and when Gillett asked Ethel to be his wife she consented. He forwarded a ticket for her passage to Canada.
They were formally welcomed by railway officilas.
