T o beautiful blonde, who is concerned in the disappearance of the secret code from the Italian Embassy in Berlin, has iust paid a dramatic visit to London, srtys the * Daily Chron icle.’ She is a native oi Jugo-Slavia, and arrived in Berlin early in the spring. She vented a luxurious flat and became acquainted with one of the secretaries of the Italian Embassy, and it was soon evident that he was paying marked attention to her. She several times visited him in the room in which was the safe containing the code.. Suddenly the secretary disappeared. Ho was recalled to Rome secretly and was tried and exiled to an island whence he is unable to communicate with his relations or friends. In the meantime the Italian Government, wishing to avoid publicity, did not complain to the Berlin police, but they had the - fail Jugo-Slavian watched. Something must have aroused her suspicions for she went to Paris- in August, them*, again fearing that the Italian secret agents would have revenge, she hurriedly went to London, arriving on Wednesday, accompanied by a tall, dark man. She occupied a suite at an hotel and within a few hours a Scotland Yard man visited her. What transpired is not known, but the blonde settled her bill and caught the Dieppe boat train from Victoria. —Australian Press Association,
