RAVENSBOURNE PRESBYTERIANS
ANNUAL CHURCH MEETING The annual meeting of the Ravcnsbourne and St. Leonards Presbyterian Church was held on Thursday in tho Sunday School Hall, Ruvensbournc. Tho Rev. J. E. Cairncy occupied the chair. The annual report of the session was as followsWe acknowledge with thankfulness the goodness of tho Great Head of tho church throughout the year, and also throughout all the years since the foundation of the congregation, tor it is now fifty years since a minister was appointed to- cake over the work. We as a congregation on this occasion humbly acknowledge God’s goodness for tile way He has led and us throughout tho years of the past. The session wishes to state that, although this year nas been one of change ami loss ol members by death and otherwise, the work has gone on steadily. There is much that gives encouragement and hope for the' future. The session on behall of the congregation expresses its sincere sympathy with those who have been bereaved during the year. The session expresses its thanks to all who have in any way assisted to carry on the work of the congregation; to the Sunday schools’ superintendents and teachers for their faithful work; to members of the choirs who hare done such good work during the year; to the members of the Women’s Guild; to the collectors of the sustentation funds: to those who have taken, charge of the floral decorations in the church; to the members of the Management Committee, the secretary, and the treasurer, the Bible class leaders of the Y.M. and Y.W. classes. The session would again record its limb appreciation of the faithful work earned on by tho minister, the Rev. J. J. Cairney, and Mrs Cairney, During the evening a small token of tho esteem and appreciation for services rendered to the congregation bv the Misses Crawley was ■ presented by the minister. Mr J. Ross suitably responded on behalf of the recipients.
