CLUB-SWINGING RECORD
Charles Buckett, physical cutture instructor at Christchurch, last night broke the world's record for club swinging. Fie swung 61b clubs continuously for 72hr 45min. 9min over tho ■ icord previously made by Tom Burrows with 3lb clubs. Buckett finished without any distress, and was able to talk freely. His hands showed signs of wear. Buckett is forty-five years old.
