The New Zealand amateur championship was continued last night; Petley defeated Devine, 665-574. Bowie (Auckland), the present New Zealand champion, bua notified that he will defend his titl« INTERCLUB FINAL The final of the interclub billiards championship was played at t ie Commercial Travellers’ Club between C. Mason and R. Fraser. Fraser began very well and soon ran into the lead, his score reading 314 to Mason’s 216. The brils began to run better for Mason from this on, and he made 121 to Fraser’s 14. Each player in turn took the lead, and it looked anyone’s game; but a 27 and 21 to Mason assured him a win, the final scores being: Mason 500, Fraser 467. Mason made breaks of 33, 20, 25, 27, 28, 21, and averaged 6.25; Fraser made breaks of 29, 36, 23, 22, 20, 23, 22, 31, and averaged 5.61.
