DIRT TRACK RACING
The first dirt track motor cycle and athletic meeting of the new see son will be held at Forbury Park > n Saturday next, and as something like £7O is being giver away in prizes for the motor cycle events some very keen competition is anticipated and riders will probably be present from r nvercargill, Dunedin, Tiraaru, and Christchurch. Many of the local men have -in vested in , new machines, which will be perfectly tuned up for the opening event of the year. It is expected thel all previous speed records for the ground will go by the board on Saturday nest, and with the increased entries the public is assured of the most attractive meeting to date. The athletic section of the pron-ramme is also -a good one, and altogether a fine afternoon’s sport- is promised. Entries for the. motor cycle events close on Tuesday next.
