“GOOD-BYE, CANADA”
MR MACDONALD'S FAREWELL MESSAGE Press Association —By Telegraph —CopyrightQUEBEC, October 25. (Received October 26, at 12.30 p.m.) In a farewell message to Canada before boarding the Duchess of York on Friday evening Mr Ramsay MacDonald said: S 1 have received afresh the impression of your restful scenery, your bracing faith and _ confident energy. Three centuries sit lightly upon you who are heirs to two splendid civilisations. 1 can only wish that your future will be worthy of its early promise. The supreme justification of the British Commonwealth, to which you are proud to belong, is its contribution to the furtherance of world peace. I am glad to find no part of His Majesty’s realm more firmly wedded to that ideal than Canada.”—Australian Press Association-United Service.
