The five candidates for aircraft apprenticeships with the Royal Air force, itngland, were educationally examined on October 4. four were successful—namely, Terence E. Boyle ’(Stratford), Deryck Milne (Papakura), John S. Standing (Otoko, Gisborne), and Ronald F. Wells (Upp°r Riccarton, Christchurch). . These lads have still to undergo,, medical examination, and, if passed, will be nominated for entry into the Royal 'ir Force, and will join up in_ January next. In these cases, it might be well to mention, the candidates find their own passage to England.
