UPPER CLUTHA RACES

ANNUAL MEETING The annual race meeting of the Upper Clutha Racing. Club was held on Saturday on , its nicely-appointed course on the' Hawca Flat Domain. The weather was ideal, and the track all the better for a heavy shower of rain which fell over night. The attendance was good, and over 150 motor cars, were on the ground. The meeting was well managed, and the officials carried out their duties well. Results:— MAIDEN RACE, 38sovs: second 5. sf. Mr ' Con. White’s b in GAY FASHION, by Gay LadLady Talbot, 4yrs, 10.0 (P. Gay Fashion led from Bon Ray and Impertinence, but the latter was knocked back at the far turn, leaving the other two' in the lead. Impertinence cam© again across the top and led into the straight. The winner, being locally owned, trained, and ridden, received an ovation on returning to the enclosure.
