RUMMAGE SALE The Salvation Army, North-east Val« ley, held a big jumble sale on Thursday afternoon, and to clear the remaining goods the sale was continued in tha Army Hall, North road, this afternoon.' The proceeds are to be devoted to the annual self-denial appeal, which closes on Wednesday next. The stallholders had a busy afternoon attending to a crowd of eager buyers, and a good sum was realised. Those in charge of the stalls were;— Men’s Clothing.—Mesdaraes Gunn and Barclay. Ladies’ Clothing.—Mesdamos \V, Elliott, Churchill, T. Jamieson, and Oggv Ladies’ Costumes and Coats.—Mes* dames Peart and Botting. _ Boots and . Shoes.—Mesdames J*- cdliott, W, Whitley, and Gould. Noveitv.—Mrs Ensign Bartlett and Miss M. Smith,
