SUNDAY SERVICES

At First Church Young People’s Day will bo observed, and the Rev. Professor Hunter will be the preacher at both services. In the evening he will speak specially to young men and young women on ‘ The Soul’s Awakening.’ Dr Galway will preside at the organ. In Knox Church Rev. James Burns will be the preacher at both services. The morning subject is 1 The Kingdom Within ’ and in the evening the subject is ‘ A Weak Youth Who Became a Strong Man.' A special service for the Sunday schools will be held in the church at 2.30 p.m., which the Rev. Mr Burns will conduct.

The preacher in St. Stephen’s Church will be the Rev. Thomas Miller, whose subject in the morning will be 4 The Secret of a Happy Eternity,’ and in the evening ‘The Glory in the Grey.’ At the Caversham Presbyterian Church in the evening the Rev. R.. Ferguson Fish will speak on ‘ The Heroes Who Died for Scotland and Her Church.’

At the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church Sunday will be observed as Young People’s Day. In the morning Rev. Geo. Miller, of N.E. Valley, will conduct a children’s service, and the evening service, conducted by Rev. A. C. W. Standage, will be specially for young people and parents. At the North-east Valley Presbyterian Church the Rev. A. C. W. Standage will preach in the morning, and the Rev George Miller in the evening. Evening subject: ‘ The Pilgrims’ Progress—the Wicket Gate.’ A memorial window of two panels will bo unveiled in the South Dunedin Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. This has been given by the congregation and friends in memory of the late Rev. R. Fairmaid. The preacher will be the Right Rev, Professor Hewitson, 13. A., moderator of General Assembly. Rev. Dr Currie will unveil the window. In the afternoon there will be a special children’s service conducted by Rev. Geo. Miller. llev. D. D. Dutton will preach in the evening. Foreign mission Sunday will bo observed in Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street. Ihe Rev. H. Daniel will conduct the morning service, and in the evening the Rev. J. F. Goldie (president of the conference) will speak on 4 Twenty-seven Years in the Solomons.’ The young Solomon Islanders, Gina and Kera, will speak and sing. Central Mission services will be conducted by the Rev. G. B. Hinton. The morning subject will be " A Model Christian,’ and that of the evening 4 The Decoy of To-morrow ’ ‘0 Divine Redeemer ’ (Gounod) will bo sung by Miss Mina Blackwood; and the choir will sing ‘ Incline Thine Ear ’ (Elvey). At 8 p.m. the president of the Methodist Conference, Rev. J. F. Goldie, and the Rev. W. A. Sinclair will speak. Gina and Kera (two Solomon Islanders) will speak and render vocal and instrumental music.

Foreign mission anniversary services will be held at the Dundas Street Methodist Church. The president of the conference, the Rev, J. F. Goldie, will occupy the pulpit for the morning sendee, and will be assisted by Kera, a Solomon Island native. The Rev. H. Daniel, whose subject will be 1 A Day of Good Tidings,’ will preach in the evening. Tht services at the Mornington Methodist Church will he conducted by Mr A. T MTndoe in the morning, and the Rev W. H. Hocking at night. At St. Hilda Methodist Church Revs. W. A. Sinclair and H. E. Bellhousc will conduct the services at 11 a.m. and 6.30 p.m At the morning service Gina, a native of Solomon Islands, will speak and sing The Rev. J. A. Lochore will preach in Cargill Road Methodist Church in the morning on 4 Sentinel Souls.’ and in the evening on 4 Stones Rolled Away.’ The evening service at the Congregational Church, Moray place, will he broadcast from 4YA, the order of which will bo found in our advertising columns. The Rev. Albert Mead will give an address on 4 The Gospel of Friendship.’ Miss Franklin will sing a solo, 4 Shepherds’ Cradle Song,’ and the choir will render Varley Roberts's 4 Seek Ye the Lord,’ with Mr C. C. Scott in the solo yart. The Rev 0 Maitland Ellis will conduct services at the United Congregational Church. Morning subject; 4 The Cloud of Witnesses.’ Evening: 4 The Gospel of the Power of God.’ Rev Lionel Fletcher will conduct the last three services during the weekend. He will speak to men only in Octagon Hall on Sunday, at 3 p.m., on 4 For Sale, a Man’s Soul ’; also in the Empire Theatre on Sunday, at 8.15 p.m.. on 4 A Message to Modern Youth.’

The missionary rally arranged for the Octagon Hall at 8 p.m. promises to he of a very interesting character. The two Solomon Islands lads, Gina and Kera, hare delighted large audiences in the dominion with their Gospel speech and solos, and the presence of the Rev. J. F. Goldie (Solomons) and Rev TV A. Sinclair (Auckland), who will give brief talks on mission work, adds additional interest to the gathering. This will be the last opportunity of hearing these Solomon Island lads. At the Higher Thought Centro, Jubilee Hall. View street, Cassilda Carmen conducts two healing meetings. First, 7 p.m., ‘Renewing Lives and Bodies ’; second, 8.15 p.m., ‘ Cultivating Magnetic Power.’ Healing concentrations at both meetings for those sick or in trouble. At York Place Hall, fellowship at the Lord’s Table in the morning is open to all Christians. At the evening service Mr Frank Parley will perach. His subject will be‘ Will Ye Akso ?—What ? ’

At Rossbotham Hal! in the evening Mr Sibley will deal with a literal

prophecy found in the eleventh chapter of Daniel. . At the Spiritualist Church in the evening Mr W. E. Reynolds will speak on ‘The Divine Will as Revealed Through Spiritualism.’ Clairvoyant descriptions will be given by Miss Burgess after the address.
