An interesting meeting mil take place on December 2 between General Smuts, who commanded the British forces in East Africa during the Great War, and the German general, Von Letto Vorbeck, his opponent in that struggle. The occasion is the East African campaign dinner, at which General Smuts will take the chair and will propose the toast of General Von Letto Vorbeck. It is recalled the latter only surrendered after the signing of the armistice."
