WAHGAIiIii CHAMPIONSHIPS At the Belmont Links yesterday the Wanganui Chib championships were commenced in fine weather, with a strong north-westerly wind in the afternoon. L Cathro (Castlecliff) headed the list of sixteen who qualified for match play with an aggregate of 151. D. C. Collins (Wairarapa) was second with 164. CLAIR The teams’ match against the North Otago Ladies’ Club resulted in a draw, both the singles and four-balls being halved.
