The one-day general strike by th® Arabs against the new rules which permit Jewish observances at the Wailing Wall was carried out without incident. Most of the Jewish shops were open in Jerusalem, where troops carried out route marches in the early morning. The city all day long was, almost dead* —Australian Press Association.
