CORPORATION NOTICES. BOROUGH OF ST. HILDA. NOTICE) OF CONFIRMATION OF SPECIAL ORDER ’AUTHORISING' THE RAISING OP A SPECIAL LOAN OF 55,900. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the ST. HILDA BOROUGH COUNCIL, at a. SPECIAL MEETING convened for the purpose and held ou tho 29th of JULY, 1929, Passed the following RESOLUTION authorising (ho Raising of a Special Loan of £5,900. The said Resolution is as v follows:— “ That it be. and is hereby, resolved, by the St. Hilda Borough Council, so that (his Resolution may bo confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council and operate as a Special Order, as follows : 1. That in pursuance and exercise of tha powers vested in it in that behalf by “ Tho Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,” the said Council does hereby resolve to raise a Special Loan of Five Thousand Nino Hundred Pounds (£5,900) for the purpose of paying oil an Antecedent Liability Loan of £B,OOO maturing on the Ist September, 1929. the balance of that Loan—namely, £2,loo—having been otherwise provided. 2. That the security for the interest and sinking fund and repayment of the said Special Loan of £5,800 be a special annual recurring rate of twclve-twenty-fiflbs (12-25) of a penny in the Pound (£) upon tho rateable value, ou tho basis of the unimproved value, of all the able properly of the Borough of St. Hilda, comprising die whole of tho said borough. 3. 'that the term of the said Special Loan bo twelve (12) years from the Ist day of September, 1929. <l. That :i Sinking Fund of Sir and Onequarter (6J-) per centum per annum on i he amount of the said ioau be established in connection with tho same, and that the amount of such Sinking Fund be paid to the Sinking Fund Commissioner appointed for that purpose on or before the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of Twelve (12) years from tho Ist day of September, 1929, or until tho loan is fully paid off, ,of which sinking fund the first payment shall bo made on or before the 31st day of March, 1930. 5. That the said Special Loan be raised by the issue of Debentures under ” The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,” and that each debenture shall bear interest at tho rate of Five and One-half (51) per centum per annum, payable half-yearly on the Ist day of March and the' Ist day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan or until such loan is fully paid oft', and that, coupons bo affixed to each such debenture accordingly, and that tho said debentures and coupons be payable at the National Bank of New Zealand, Dunedin. 6. That the Corporate Seal be affixed to all such debentures, and that such debentures and coupons be signed by tho Mayor and countersigned by the Treasurer, but so that their respective ■ signalures to the Coupons may bo lithographed thereon, 7. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the said Resolutioit will bo submitted to a Special Meeting ol the said Council to be held on THURSDAY, the 29th August, 1929, for confirmation as a Special Order. i W.
