KENTUCKY JUBILEE SINGERS
FINAL PERFORMANCE TO-NIGHT A distinctly novel entertainment is provided by the Kentucky Jubilee Singers at - His Alajesty’s Theatre. Last evening the audience was exceedinly demonstrative in its appreciation of the efforts of tho performers. l To say that the programme submitted was fully deserving of the applause, is putting it - only too mildly. The singing of the many spiritual and folk songs deeply aroused emotions. Every member of the troupe possesses exceptionally fine vocal powers, and their voices were heard to advantage both in concerted and solo contributions. The entertainment is divided into three sections, each bearing a distinctly different, atmosphere to its predecessor. The wistful charm of an 'American plantation provides the setting for the first scene, and this is followed by a perspective study of a dugout somewhere in France in 1917,-and “At the Present Time.” The latter features the band of immaculately dressed singers in a series of melodies which fully capture the admiration of the audience. Tho final performance by these remarkable vocalists will bo given this evening.
