LONDON, June 7. (Received June 8, at 11 a.m.) All over the country rain interfered with county cricket. Warwick in their first innings made 197 (Peebles four wickets for 61, Robins four for 72). Middlesex in their first innings scored 273 for nine wickets (Hendren 74). Middlesex won on the first innings. Glamorgan in their first innings mode 146 (Leyland five for 44. Rhodes four for .30)/ Yorkshire scored 147 for five wickets (Holmes 72 not out). Yorkshire won on the first innings. Somerset in their first innings scored 105 (Beary four for 40), and in their second 61 (Astill eight for 23). Leicester in their first innings made 126 (Wellard six lor 55, "White four for 44), and in their second 42 for six (White four for 9). Leicester won by four wickets. Lancashire in their first innings scored 174 (Ashdown five for 52), and in their second 92 for one wicket. Kent in their first innings made 215 (Hardinge 86). Kent won on the first innings. Gloucester in their first innings scored IS4 for five wickets declared. Oxford scored 223 for six wickets. The match was drawn. Cambridge in their first innings made 337 for eight wickets declared (Block 103). Sussex in their first innings scored 266 for seven wickets. The match was drawn. Hampshire in their first innings scored 35 for four wickets. There was no further play. In a friendly match Essex in their first innings made 154 (Cutmore 79; Barratt four for 29), and in their second 103 (A. Staples three for 4). Nottingham in their first innings totalled 211 (A.
