The office boy entered the editor’s office rather nervously. The editor in question was responsible for the local newspaper of a small provincial town. “ Please, sir,” said the boy. “ there’s a lady wants to see you—Miss Ugkigh, her' naine is—and she’s awful wild!” The lady gained admittance and confronted the editor. “I demand an explanation!” she yelled. “ You’ve mixed up iu vour wretched rag tho reports on tiia church whist drive and the beauty competition. And I’ve been insulted!’’ “Tint how can you have been insulted 1 '” said the puzzled editor, 11 A harmless error ” *' Put it’s the whist drive f won the booby prize in,” screamed the lady, “ and you said it was tho beauty competition.!”-
