LINK WITH YORKSHIRE LONDON, April 16., Sir Basil Blackett was the chief truest at the annual dinner of the New Zealand Association at the Savoy Hotel last night. Replying to the toast of his health, proposed hy the chairman, Sir dames Parr, High Commisigoner for New Zealand, Sir Basil said he would like to. see more attention paid to what he described as “ the rationalisation of Imperial economics.” For example, the producers of wool in New Zealand and the producers of woollen goods in Yorkshire should get together with a view to increased production of wool in New Zealand and Australia, and an increased supply of woollen goods to the. Empire and the world by the textile industry of this country. . There was need for some machinery to direct the capital of the Empire into those channels in which it was most needed.
