Burns Hall was filled lo capacity last) evening, when the second Scottish concert ol Scotch songs, dances, and pip-* ing and band items was presented to the complete satisfaction .of all piesent. Almost every performer who contributed to the lengthy programme was recalled. The following programme was sub- ' milted :—Band selections, ‘ Queen of the North ’ and ‘ Charlie Is My Darling,’ Dunedin Tramways Band; songs —‘ The Scottish Immigrant’s Fare well.' , ‘A Hundred Pipers,’ and ‘Of a’, the ; Airts,’ Mr iJ. Alacdiarmid; songs— j ‘Caller Herrin’,’ ‘ Doon tlio Burn,’and ■ ‘The Spinning Wheel,’ Miss Mabel; Boss; dances, Miss Jessie Jardine;! songs, ‘ Coinin’ Thro ’Hie Bye ’ and 1 ‘My Ain Folk,’ Mrs F. Macdonald; pipe duets—‘Jock Straus,’ ‘John APFayden of Meifort,’ ‘Stirling Brig,’ ! and ‘ John Mac Kay’s Reels,’ Messrs G. i and J. Yardlcy; Lander songs, Master Charlie Stewart (Wellington) ; High- ! land dance, scan triubhais. Miss -Nance Spavin; Highland reel, Misses N. Spavin and J. Jardine, and Masters W. Martin and P. Geddes; Irish reel, Misses J. Jardine, N. Spavin, and F. Aii Her. The concert proved thoroughly enjoyable, and was highly appreciated by the audience throughout. The accompaniments for Hie Vocal items were played bv Airs A. Ncwcy.
