SIR HARRY LAUDER

SUCCESSFUL SEASON The large audience which gathered at-His Majesty's Theatre last night to hear the famous Scotch comedian, Sir Harry Lauder, and his talented supporting company were far from disappointed when they reluctantly left the theatre alter repeatedly calling upon the little comedian for encores, which he willingly gave. He sang a number of the old favourite Scotch songs, interspersing them with the usual stories, and even when ho had completed his set programme he was called on for an Irish song, which he gave with a real Irish brogue.. Tiki Carpenter, who set the ball rolling, pleased all with “her” classic dancing, and Rupert Hazel, with his clerical stories, kept the audience in a constant simmer of merriment, while his partner, Miss Elsie Day, charmed all. The acrobatic violinists, the Fredo Brothers, earned well-deserved applause for their wonderful feats, and Don Julian proved a remarkably clever cartoonist and raconteur. This excellent performance will be presented again to-night.
