(Received June 5, at 2 p.m.) Among the 120 entries for the Lucifer Golfing Society's Empire competition at Walton Heath on June 26 and 27 is L. H. Campbell, of Christchurch. THEFT CHARGES. Alter being sentenced in the Supreme Court to three years' imprisonment for breaking and entering and theft George Robert Munecy, aged twenty-eight, appeared before Mr Page, S.M., on six charges of theft and attempted theft, and also of committing mischief, to which he pleaded guilty, lie was sentenced to three months' imprisonment on each charge, concurrent with the Supreme Court sentence.—Wellington Press Association telegram.
