WISH OF THE CREDITOR POWERS

It is understood that the Governments concerned wish the reparations question to bo disposed of before August 1, therefore a conference, including the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Finance, wiil probably be held in July. The Government is not allowing the matter to, be discussed in the Reichstag at present.-—Australian Press Association.
GERMANY'S HIGH HOPES. EVACUATION OF RHINELAND. BERLIN, June I. (Received June 5, at 11 a.m.) There was a mild scene in the Foreign Committee of the Reichstag when the Nationalist’s motion for the reject of the reparations agreement as overburdening Germany was heavily defeated, upon which the Nationalists walked out in a body. Dr Strcscmami virtually indicated that Germany would sign the agreement only if the Allies agreed to the immediate evacuation of i the Rhineland, on which she is build--5 ing high hopes under LabouFs administration in Britain. —Australian Press Association.
