TRINITY METHODIST CIRCUIT

QUARTERLY MEETING 'f'lie quarterly meeting of Trinity Methodist Church Circuit Quarter Board was held in the schoolroom yesterday, the Rev. IT. .15. Bellhouse in the chair, and fourteen members present. The new circuit stewards. Messrs Davis and Frapwell, took up their duties for the first time. The balancesheet, which showed a deficit on the quarter, was read and approved, and the minutes of the lust meeting rend and confirmed. It was agreed that a committee consisting Of Messrs Roserear, Christie, and Vanes should act with the chairman in revising very thoroughly the membership roll of Trinity Church. The Chairman reported that Trinity Choir bad donated the sum of CIO to the trust fund and £lO to tho circuit fund. The Rev. Ccorge Clements has agreed to supply for the Clcuavcn and Woodlmngli Churches, lie having already commenced his work in these districts. A Maori Maine Mission concert party will he in Dunedin for three weeks during May, being at Trinity on May 12. and in the Daily Settlers’ .Hall on May 1-1. Hospitality is required for these friends. Tho Trinity eoiigrega tion gave to the Hood relief fund tho sum of £lB 15s 9d. A Band of Hope loader is urgently required at Trinity.

A motion of sympathy with Mi’s Gillies was carried, me in hers standing in silence. A Young People’s Club has been formed at Trinity, meeting on Satin-’ day evenings in the schoolroom. All members of Bible classes and of the church arc welcome, and will undoubtedly'enjoy the time spent there. The activities of the club are to be many and varied, to suit all-comers. The enthusiastic support of all church members was asked for by Mr Ccllhouse, that the coming winter’s work especially might be of benefit to all. The next meeting is set down for Monday, July 8.
