SATISFACTORY FINANCIAL POSITION A meeting of the Otago Rowing Association was hold last evening, air L. V. Uah-bairn presiding. The success ol the cigbt-oar crow in winning the intorproviiicial race was referred (o by the chairman, and it was decided to record in the appreciation of the crew elicit. fse\eial letters of congratulation were receivedThe matter of entertaining the crew was left in the hands of the Linorgeiicy Committee. This will probably be in the form of a din nor, and a limited number of tiekets will bo issued. The Secretary prod need a statement setting out the operations ol the year. Despite tlm additional cost in connection with local eight-oar races, the intcrpruvincial eight-oar race, and the local regatta, the financial position ol the association was considered satislaetory. liefercnee was also made to the condition of the eight-oar boats, and it was left to the Lmcrgency Committee, with Air JJrough, to attend to the boat nowhoused in the Otago shed. Accounts amounting to Ll'o los were passed for payment.
