He said: “General Nobile should not ha blamed for being the first to be rescued. If anyone should be blamed, 1 should be the one. I insisted that ha should be saved. Captain Tornberg, chief of the Swedish expedition, and an officer of the Royal Air Force, ordered me to bring back General Nobile because lie felt that the general would lend his experience and knowledge of the conditions to help us to rescue tha other missing members of the Unlinks crew,”—Australian Press Association,
