MARKSMEN RETURN
THEIR SUCCESS IN VICTORIA [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Marti. 19. The New Zealand marksmen who competed at the Victorian Rifle Association's' meeting in Melbourne returned by the Uliinaroa this morning. The visit of the team was in every way a success, the New Zealanders winning two of the three main matches, and in addition to establishing the best record they won ■ prize money totalling £’26U. •‘The team was a happy and contented one,” said Captain Marshall. “ There was not a discordant note. 'They worthily upheld the honour of New Zealand, both on and off the range- True team spirit was developed early in the trip and maintained until the end.” Captain Marshall had warm praise tor the treatment accorded the New Zealanders by the Victorians.
