A correspondent has written asking lor some hints on mixing paint, from while lead. The finer points in paint mixing will he the subject of a longer article later, hut. in the meantime the following recipe should prove useful for painting a live-roomed house :—Three-quarters cwf genuine Kughsh while lead; add three and a-lialf gallons genuine raw linseed oil. one pint liquid driers (icrebine). halt-gallon pine tree turpentine. 71 a tinted paint is required the painter will he able to gel (he stainings Iroiu any oil or ((dour merchant. it is a slow business mixing coach paint from powder. It i- much "more satisfactory to get ready-jnade paint.
