TO-HiGHTS NEW ZEALAND PROGRAMMES For tho operatic programme this evening from I\A Auckland, excerpts from a modern light opera, k Katja the Dancer,’ will be produced under the direction of Madame Ainsley. it is a play with a Spanish setting. There will he * a miscellaneous supporting programme. The instrumental niunbeis w ill include a piano solo, ‘ Marche Grotesque,’ by Mr Eric W alters, selections by the Auckland Trio, and a talk on Mauri dunces by Mr A. B. Chappell. A light popular prograni'mc will bo heard at 2YA AA ellington. Ihe contributing artists will include Mrs M. R. Lighibodv (sonbrette). There will also be Messrs Billy Hart and Ed Silver, who will entertain with popular jazz songs and the latest hits. Mr Silvei is justT out from the Old Country. He has appeared on the London provincial singes. Another new combination is Messrs Jack M‘E\van and S. Rose, saxophone and banjo players respoctUfhe St. Kilda Band, New Zealand's champion hand, will provide the conceit for 4YA this evening. Silent day at 3YA Christchurch.
