THE ST. KILDA BAND.

TO TUB EDITOR. Sir,—lt was most fitting that the above band got such a magnificent reception yesterday. It is to be sincereh Imped that the citizens of “ our ’ band (because St. Kilda is as much every citizens’ band as it is to those ot St. Kilda) will subscribe liberally and send our champion band over to Ballarat to uphold the prestige of Dunedin and New Zealand. It is also to be hoped that the band will give citizens the opportunity of hearing the two tost pieces shortly. Trusting that Mr Dixon can arrange to give a concert either in His Majesty’s or the Empire Picture Iheatre, —I am, etc., Wkuavishxe. March C.
