RUGBY, March 5, During a debate on the Post Office Estimates in the House of Commons last night it was urged that broadcasting services should b§ employed for putting the views of political parties before" the public during the coming General Election campaign. The Postmaster-General (Sir William Mitchell-Thorason), in reply, stated that he regretted thgt the attempt which was made through the usual channels, to come to an agreement as to a fair allocation of the use of broadcasting between the respective political parties broke down. He contended that it was not unreasonable for the Government to have asked that for every attack made upon it by or the Liberal parties ,it should lie given an opportunity of replying.
