Messrs M'Crackeu and Walls proceeded against N. Maloney in respect to a judgment summons involving a claim! for £5. Judgment was given for plaintiff, with costs, £1 2s, in default sixdays’ imprisonment. Dr J.. A. Jenkins proceeded against N. J. Maloney for a sum of £8 45, ; There was no appearance of defendant, and an order was made for immediate payment of this sum, with costs, £1 55, : in default nine days’ imprisonment. W D Cowie v. C- Ashwell, clauu lof, £6 10s. The defendant did not appear, and was ordered to pay the amount claimed, with costs, 10s, in default seieu days’ imprisonment. The Otago Co.-op Milk Supply Compauy, Ltd., v. Geo. Hamer, chum £.i 2s 9d on a judgment summons. Defendant did not appear, and an order, for payment of the amount was maciej with costs, 6s, in default throe imprisonment. RE-HEARING GRANTED. Norman Philip Hailes applied for a! re-hearing in a case in which an order was made against him for the payment of £3B ISs on a judgment summons,, the plaintiff being Margaret Carno Godfrey, . Mr R. A. Kmg appeared tor the defendant and Mr R. L. Fairmaid for the plaintiff. , „ In giving evidence the defendant said he had suffered very bad health and, acting on medical advice, had had to give up hard work. Nothing had been earned by him since September last. After cross-examination the case was adjourned for a week, on the application of Mr Fairmaid, who stated that he wished to obtain further evidence as regards defendant’s behaviour. REPAIRS TO CAR.

A resumption was made of the case in which Samuel de Beer proceeded against Samuel Bunting in respect to a claim for £22 lis del for woik done and goods supplied. Mr »W. L. Moore appeared lor the plaintiff and Mr J. B. Thomson for the defendant. It had previously been contended on behalf of the defendant that the repairs included in the claim should have been made under guarantee, audit was stated also that the account was not a correct statement of the material used.; Further evidence was given to-day by, Ivan Miller and Frederick Gillies, and the Magistrate reserved his decision., (Proceeding.)
