(Received March 6, at 11 a.m.) In a statement in the Chamber tbo Prime Minister (Jonkbeer De Geer) referred to the alleged convention. Ha said it must bo a trying incident, threatening to disturb international good understandings. Jonkbeer Blokland informed him on February 22 that a sensational document would appear in the ‘ Dagblad ’ next day. Jonkbeer Blokland and bo regretted the publication, but they were convinced that the Government was unable to interfere. It could only give France and Belgium an opportunity of making a statement, which was done.—Australian Press Association.
