‘ THE FORBIDDEN WOMAN ' A tensely dramatic story of the love of two brothers lor the same woman (and she a secret agent who is betraying her husband's country Gy the enemy) which carries spectators in its irresistible sweep from the arid wastes of the Aioroccan 'Desert to Paris and hack again to the most thrilling climax ever conceived—this makes Jetta Goudal’s new Pathe-De Alillo star picture, ‘The Forbidden \\onian,’ one of the outstanding productions of the current season. The management of the Jlcgent Theatre has_ much pleasure in announcing that this production will bo screened on Friday next. As in ‘ Three Faces East,’ Miss Gondal- has the role ol a spy, but this time she is in the employ of the Sultan of Aloroeeo. In order to get information ol value regarding the French forces in Aloroeeo she marries a French officer who .soon thereafter is called to Paris. She rejoins him there, and on the trip meets the brother oilier husband, a violinist travelling under a different name. Not realising his relationship to the woman, he falls in love with her and she with him. Later, when lie learns the truth, he spurns her, and this provokes a. series of highly dramatic sequences which have their denouement in Aloroeeo. The brothers in the story are Victor Varconi and Joseph Schildkraut. They head an excellent supporting cast. The second attraction will he ‘Love Over Night,’ a sparkling com'edy drama with an original plot. Hod Xm Hoccpie and Jeannette Loff arc the featured players.
