(Mr Atm ore) dealt lengthily with the question of the late delivery of books for the new school, syllabus,, setting forth the reasons and stating the difficulties that had been, overcome. All the books on arithmetic are now on -side. The English textbooks for Standards 111. to V, are ready, and those for Standard VI. will bo issued in a few days. The history booW..for Standards HI. to V. are on., sale, and. supplies for Standard Vl.', will'bo sent out in a day or two. The greatest difficulty has been found ip producing geographies, but the Minister understands that those for Standard 1.11. are on sale, and those fon-Staudards.lv., V., and VI. are.-vh; the press.
