Dir John Dlarshall, head ol the firm of John Diitchell and Co., of Glasgow, which is the buying house for tho Fletcher Construction Company, the Lore Construction Company, and other largo contracting linns in New Zealand, is touring the dominion investigating the actual requirements of the building industry, and is now in Dunedin. DrJ. Jackson Crawsliaw (sou of Dr J. 11. Crawsliaw, of the Health Department), who qualified in Otago, was lately on the medical stall ol the Seaclilf Diontal Hospital, and went to London to specialise in children’s diseases, is now acting as resident medical officer of the Sliadwcll Children’s Hospital.. Sir Robert and Lady Stont_ brought their seasonal visit to Dunedin to an end this morning and left lor Wellington by the 11.J4 train. Dir J. Sutherland Ross, one of the Dunedin delegates to the New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation Conference that opens at Wellington on Wednesday, went .Tilth by the through express to-day. Dir ML D. Dr W. M. Clow, ex-principal of the United Free Church College at Glasgow, was bidden good-bye on the Dunedin railway station this morning by a large party of churchmen and others.
