FILM CONTROL
RENTERS TO BE LICENSED [Special to the ‘ Star.'] WELLINGTON, January 31. Temporary regulations, which come into force immediately, have been issued under Order in Council directing the registration of film renters in New Zealand. This temporary expedient will enable the provisions of the Cinematograph Films Act to be, enforced in regard to fire precautions when exhibiting films. Licenses are to be issued by the inspector ot explosives, and expire at the end of December. The fee where more than twelve quota films are to be exhibited during the year is £5, and in every other- case £2.
